Laser cut stainless steel stencil with etched areas

When huge open spaces have to be produced on the bottom side of a stencil, the etching technology is one opportunity to realize it. The apertures for the solder paste print process are still manufactured in laser cut technology. The etching technology offers the possibility to produce the open spaces in one production step in the required depth. This technology is used as well for raised ground levels or raised lines which are present on the printed circuit board. The positioning accuracy of all etched laser cut stencils is ±10µm.

When do we use an etched laser cut stencil?

Etched laser cut stencil for raised ground layers on printed circuit boards. If raised ground layers or raised lines are present on the printed circuit board, the stencil is no longer able to seal 100% to the printed circuit board (pcb), etched areas are manufactured from the bottom side of the stencil in form and size of the ground layers. The apertures of the stencil are produced in laser cut technology.

Raised vias on printed circuit 

If raised vias are present on the pcb, etched areas are manufactured from the bottom side of the etched laser cut stencil in form and size of the vias. The apertures of the etched laser cut stencil are produced in laser cut technology. 

Which delivery time do we offer for etched laser cut stencils?

The delivery time is 1-2 weeks.


Which tolerances do we guarantee for etched laser cut stencils?

We guarantee the same tolerances for echted laser cut stencils as for all stencils, which is

positioning accuracy: ±10µm

aperture accuracy: ±3µm
